I'm Max, a contemporary acrylic artist based in the beautiful sunny coast of Cornwall, UK, I studied at the Arts University Plymouth and went on to leave with a BA in Games Design in 2013. Since leaving I enjoyed painting in my spare time and decided to pursue this passion for the medium and to teach myself a long the way. Taking inspiration from others I have managed to build up my own style and technique, continuing to learn and improve.
When starting my paintings I like taking inspiration from the Cornish countryside and seaside to create an idea. Using 24 carat gold leaf and colour helps to bring a regal and elegant character to life. I enjoy using a glaze medium to increase the flow of the paint to create a vibrant yet soft tone to the portrait.
